Sauna and Sightseeing Helsinki cruise with M/S Saunaship Helsinki

Tour itinerary:

--- Departure from seafront bank in front of the historic restaurant Katajanokan Kasino (est. 1913), Address Laivastokatu 1. Some nearby visible attractions include Helsinki Cathedral (built from 1830 to 1852, one of the most famous historical structures in Finland), Uspenski Cathedral (the largest Orthodox church in both Northern and Western Europe).

--- Passing by the ice breaker vessels like Voima, Sisu, Kontio, Otso and/or Urho (“Power, Grit, Bear, Otso and/or Brave”).

--- Straight in front of us we can find the Korkeasaari Zoo.

--- On left hand side we can see the longest and tallest bridge of Finland Kruunuvuori bridge with over 1 km lenght. It is also one of the longest bridges in the world completely dedicated for tram, cyclists and pedestrians only, therefore no cars allowed.

--- Passing by small islands of Valkosaari and Luoto on right side (with popular restaurants with weddings and other events) and Ryssänsaari (vernacular for Russian) on left.

--- Approaching Unesco world heritage listing site Suomenlinna fortress island (Construction of the fortress began in 1748 under the Swedish Crown, Russian forces besieged the fortress in 1808 and ended up to Finnish rule after Finland declared independence in 1917). Popular restaurant, sauna and event island Lonna can be seen on the left hand side.

--- Arriving to the anchoring location with possibility to enjoy swimming in the Baltic Sea and paddle boarding is also available (10 €/board).

--- After starting return trip approaching main city view from the sea with a beautiful view overlooking to the Market Square. – TIP: main PHOTO attraction

--- Arriving central market square area with several attractions, i.e. Helsinki Cathedral, Uspenski Cathedral, Allas sauna and sea pool and Viking Line cruise ship harbour (cruises to Stockholm Sweden and Tallinn Estonia).

--- Arrival to landing location (Central market square or the departure location by restaurant Katajanokan Kasino)
